Bottom 8th: In the bottom of the 8th inning, the Rockies took the lead with Brenton Doyle's ground-rule double, scoring Aaron Schunk and Ryan McMahon. This put Sam Hilliard on third. Elias Díaz walked, loading the bases with McMahon on second and Schunk on third. Ryan McMahon then doubled sharply to center field, scoring Aaron Schunk and advancing Elias Díaz to third. Brendan Rodgers followed with a single to center field, extending the Rockies' lead to 4-2.
