Twins shortstop Carlos Correa told reporters he will "be playing tomorrow" following Sunday's3-2 victory over the Houston Astros despite exiting the game after being hit on the right hand by a 96-mph fastball from Astros starter Spencer Arrighetti during the first inning at Target Field.

Despite the exit, initial scans did not reveal a fracture in Correa's hand, and the Twins described Correa's injury as a right finger contusion. For the second time in a few weeks, Correa has avoided a scare after being hit on the hand by a pitch. And it looks like Correa will be in the lineup on Monday.

Feeling deja vu?

Correa also exited a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks on June 27 after being hit by a pitch on his right wrist. But scans also revealed no fracture then, and Correa played again the next day.

Now it looks as though Correa will make it 2 for 2 on returning a day after being hit by a pitch in a potentially scary situation. Twins fans can breathe a sigh of relief that the star shortstop is OK.
