Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA)

To attain the CERA credential, a candidate must successfully complete the requirements shown below. The CERA credential no longer provides an alternative pathway to earning the ASA designation.

The CERA credential is overseen by the CERA Global Association (CGA), which provides a variety of resources in support of the risk management community. The SOA is one of more than twenty actuarial organizations that have been authorized to grant the CERA credential.

SOA Members

Already an FSA or ASA and considering a CERA credential?

  • FSA members seeking the CERA credential must successfully complete the ERM exam and ERM module.
  • ASA members should contact SOA customer service to find out their current credit status and remaining credits needed for the CERA credential.
