For actuaries, the greatest barrier to advancement into the highest levels of insurance and consulting organizations is the lack of strong leadership and management skills. Studies show that while professionals typically take on management responsibilities within 10 years after starting their careers, they may not receive any formal training for 5-10 years after that. This puts them at a great disadvantage in managing their teams, in the short run, and becoming high-level leaders, in the long run.
The Leadership and Management Skills Workshop has been developed for mid-career actuaries who aspire to rise into C-suite roles. It is designed to focus on the critical leadership and management skills needed for actuaries to excel in high-level roles with an emphasis on practical application of these skills. Participants will walk away with the ability to apply new skills and approaches right away to improve their opportunities for advancement into key leadership roles.
The program is divided into three independent, but related, modules. The Communication Skills Module is intended for new and more experienced actuaries. It includes a variety of highly interactive sessions on topics such as influencing strategies, simplifying complex information, presentation skills, and professional brand.
Join us for this in-depth workshop as part of your career-long professional development.
