O'Shaquie Foster looks to hold onto his WBC super featherweight title as he defends the belt against multi-time world title contender Robson Conceicao in New Jersey.

Competing in over 100 amateur fights, Foster (22-2) has won twelve straight since 2017, thanks to a partnership with Bobby Benton. An alternate in the 2012 Olympics, “Ice Water” beat Rey Vargas to win the WBC title. He successfully defended the belt in The Sporting News' 2023 Fight of the Year against Eduardo Hernandez, beating “Rocky” via TKO following a classic that included a back and forth eleventh round.

The 30-year-old last fought in February, beating Abraham Nova via split decision.

Conceicao (18-2-1) is 0-2-1 in world title fights. The first Brazilian boxer to win an Olympic gold medal lost against Oscar Valdez and Shakur Stevenson before fighting Emanuel Navarrete to a draw in November. He got knocked down multiple times by Navarrete, but Conceicao proved himself by taking the fight to the champion.

“I think he’s (Conceicao) a great fighter,” Foster told Boxing Scene. “I have wanted to share the ring with him for a while just because he has been in the ring with the other champions. I think he's gonna be a great opponent, and [I can] separate myself from certain guys that already faced him.

“He just had a draw with [Emanuel] Navarrete. I’m looking at this fight as a unification fight – I’m not taking him lightly at all. A lot of people count me out in this fight, so I am going to have to really show them.”

Foster vs. Conceicao is right before Stevenson defends the WBC lightweight title against Artem Harutyunyan.
