Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever will host the Phoenix Mercury for their second matchup of the season on Friday night.
In their first battle on June 30, the Fever got a pivotal 88-82 win on the road, beating the Mercury behind strong performances from Clark (15 points, 12 assists, nine rebounds), Aliyah Boston (17 points, eight rebounds, four assists) and Kelsey Mitchell (16 points, three rebounds). Those three players will represent the Fever in the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game.
For the Mercury, Brittney Griner led the way with 24 points and six rebounds, while Diana Taurasi contributed 19 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals. Taurasi will not suit up on Friday because she is dealing with a left lower leg injury.
