Norah Ann Prudence Gardner was born on June 20, 2024, at Tunbridge Wells Hospital to Lauren, 35, and James Gardner, 36
Nell, who is two and a half, is very proud of the new arrival Norah and “she’s insistent on everyone knowing that it’s her baby sister”, says Lauren. Nell was born via IVF during the pandemic (on New Year’s Day) and Norah was a happy surprise. It’s been quite a different experience. Norah was a summer baby — she was born on the longest day of the year — and this time they’ve been able to get out and about and enjoy the outdoors (and the sun) without any restrictions.
The name Norah means “shining light” because “that was one of the things we feel she is to us”, says James — “a beacon of light”.

Edward Robin Willson was born on March 27, 2024, in Whipps Cross University Hospital in east London to James and Florence Willson, both 34
James and Florence found it hard to agree on a name but came up with Teddy on a long car journey back to London on New Year’s Day.

Edward (“Teddy”) takes his father’s middle name, and Robin is a nod to his beloved late grandfather. “We like the way it can be switched up and shortened as he grows older,” says Florence. “It can change depending on who he wants to be.”
Teddy took four days to arrive and he continues to be incredibly chilled. “He’s always happy and babbling away to himself,” says James. “We’re expecting him to be a little chatterbox.” They were nervous about how their Hungarian Vizsla, Hastings, would react to no longer being the baby of the family, but Hastings spent the first few months positioned over Teddy’s crib, acting as first responder to every gurgle or sniffle. “We can’t wait for them to grow up together,” says Florence.
