UPDATED:

The St. Paul Saints are moving this week’s home opener back one day, to Wednesday, citing the March 31 storm that dumped nine inches of snow onto CHS Field and the forecast for a 90 percent chance for more snow and rain on Tuesday.

Tuesday’s scheduled home opener between the Saints and the visiting  Iowa Cubs will now be part of a Saturday doubleheader, with the first game beginning at 1:07 p.m.

The teams will now start their six-game series at 6:37 p.m. Wednesday. The series runs through Sunday.

The Saints opened the 2023 season with a three-game series in Toledo against the Mud Hens, winning two games over the weekend after dropping the opener last Friday.

The Opening Night hoodie sweatshirt giveaway will be moved to Saturday and fans wanting to take advantage of the giveaway can exchange their tickets for that game, or any of the remaining 2023 regular-season games. Gates will open at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
