A 47-year-old woman was found dead in River Falls, Wis., just after midnight on Monday, according to the River Falls Police Department.
The victim was identified as River Falls resident Amy Cathleen Theis.
A suspect was arrested in connection with Theis’ death, and a request for charges from the St. Croix County District Attorney’s Office is expected within the next two days, according to a press release from the River Falls Police Department.
Police responded to reports of an unconscious person in the 500 block of Bandle Street in River Falls just after midnight on Monday. When officers arrived, they discovered Theis, dead of an apparent gunshot wound, the press release states.
