The discussions will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at El Rio Vista Recreation Center at 179 Robie St.; 6:30 p.m. May 2 at the Rondo Community Library at 461 Dale St. N.; 6:30 p.m. May 8 at the Arlington Hills Community Center at 1200 Payne Ave.; 6:30 p.m. May 16 at Rice Recreation Center at 1021 Marion St.; 6:30 p.m. May 18 at the Merriam Park Library at 1831 Marshall Ave.; and 6:30 p.m. May 23 at the Highland Park Community Center at 1978 Ford Parkway.
Participants are invited to bring a smartphone or web-enabled device if they have one. The mayor has until August 15 to submit his budget proposal — including a proposed property tax levy — and the city council has until mid-December to make changes.
