Gophers football player Miles Fleming, a third-year defensive back, said Thursday he will enter the NCAA transfer portal.
Fleming, who appeared in seven games in 2021-22, is the first departure since Minnesota’s spring practices ended on Saturday.
Fleming, of Columbus, Ohio, thanked head coach P.J. Fleck, staff, teammates and the Gophers community for his three seasons in Minnesota.
Fleming is the 18th player from last year’s team to exit since November. Meanwhile, Minnesota has added seven players, including linebacker Rowan Zolman from Miami (Ohio) this week.
