After South St. Paul police asked for the public’s help in locating a 31-year-old man last seen on Wednesday, they announced Tuesday he’d been found deceased.

Police said Adam Joseph Wallin was last seen about 10 p.m. when he left his house on foot near the 1100 block of Bryant Avenue.

“(S)ad news to report this morning as we are canceling the missing person alert issued last Friday for Adam Wallin,” South St. Paul Police wrote on Facebook.

“We learned over this past weekend that our partners with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office recovered a body from the Mississippi River and yesterday the medical examiner has confirmed the deceased to be Mr. Wallin.”

The circumstances of Wallin’s death remain under investigation, police said.
