We agree on a lot. Maybe the candidates should tell us how they aim to get there

The country is said to be very “divided,” but is it so? Most everyone is agreed certain things are both important and good:

— affordable housing
— reproductive freedom (and all other freedoms as well)
— an economy that “works for everyone”
— transparency and accountability, particularly the government kind
— quality education (particularly the public kind)
— law and order (and justice and safe streets)
— a “secure” southern border
— “parental” (and all other) rights
— low inflation or even no inflation, and low prices for stuff like gas and food
— term limits for politicians
— social security and Medicare
— taxing the “rich” to get most of the money needed to run the government

Now, given we generally agree on these things, is it really too much to ask that the people who want to run the government and who want us to vote for them might tell us the best they can how or what they hope to do to provide us all with these good things?

Apparently it is.

What’s the immigration plan?

I find it stunning media aren’t asking any basic questions from the current Biden/Harris administration about what the plan is for the 10 million migrants that have arrived in our country under their watch. One would think that those in charge at the federal level would be working with the border states and sanctuary cities to see what they need, how many they can house, feed, provide health care and issue work permits. Taxpayers have a right to know what the actual cost of their policy really is.

But unfortunately all we’ve seen from this administration is deflection and outright hostility to governors like Greg Abbott of Texas who is only trying to beef up border security for his home state. Of course the Democrats will deflect and say they already had a border bill that didn’t pass but I would ask them why do we need a border bill if the border is already “closed and secure” as they’ve been claiming for years?

I have no doubt if Donald Trump was still in office the media would be pounding on him everyday but it just shows how biased our corporate media really is.

Giddy governor

I almost gagged when I heard Gov. Walz was named as the VP selection for Kamala Harris, although I wasn’t surprised. Walz had been “running” furiously for the position the last several months, resembling Justin Jefferson as the latter zoomed down the field toward the end zone. When I saw Walz on stage with VP Harris, he was so giddy I thought he would bust out and do the “griddy” in celebration.

In my opinion, the turning point for Harris choosing Walz was when Gov. Walz stood in front of cameras and millions of Americans, lying to us, stating President Biden was mentally and physically able to function as president for his second term. Walz will fit well in the Harris Administration if she is elected.

Gov. Walz said he and VP Harris have the same values. If that is the case, Walz will add little to help Harris to be elected. Harris is a California liberal as is her VP choice Walz, a California liberal cloaked in Minnesota governor clothing.
