UPDATED:

One deep playoff run and the emergence of superstar Anthony Edwards has officially pushed the Timberwolves into the tier of the NBA’s must-watch teams.

The 2025-25 schedule revealed Thursday reflected as much, as Minnesota will play 18 times on major networks — ABC, ESPN or TNT — this season. That’s up from just five when the schedule was revealed a year ago. It’s the ninth-highest number in the NBA.

That includes an appearance on the NBA’s opening night, when the Wolves travel to Los Angeles to play the Lakers in the nightcap of the kickoff doubleheader on Oct. 22. Minnesota will also play a Christmas Day matinee against the Mavericks in Dallas.

The Wolves will play an additional seven games on NBA TV.

The home opener is set for Oct. 26 against the Raptors. That opens a three-game home stand that also features national TV bouts with Dallas and Denver. After opening with a pair of road games, six of Minnesota’s next eight contests will be at Target Center.

The Wolves bookend Thanksgiving with a pair of home games — the day before the holiday against Sacramento and the day after it against the Clippers.

They’ll play in Memphis on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Minnesota has a pair of five-game homestands, one in early February and another in mid-March. The Wolves’ longest road trip is also five games, taking place in early April — a trip that could play a large role in determining the team’s playoff seeding.

All seven Wolves games against Dallas and Denver are on national TV. All four games the Wolves play against Oklahoma City are on one of the three major networks or NBA TV. One of those Thunder games is a New Year’s Eve affair in Oklahoma City.

The Wolves welcome the defending champion Celtics to Target Center on Jan. 2. The Lakers’ lone trip to Minneapolis is set for Dec. 2.

Minnesota has 14 back-to-backs on the schedule, which is slightly below the league average of 14.9. And only five of those feature travel between games.
