Former St. Paul Mayor George Latimer’s funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at the Church of the Assumption at 51 W. Seventh St.
Latimer, who served as a popular and transformative mayor from 1976 to 1990, died Sunday at his longtime Episcopal Homes residence on University Avenue. He was 89.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:50 a.m. prior to the funeral Mass. There will be a private interment, according to his obituary notice.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to People Inc., Friends of the St. Paul Public Library or The Bridge for Youth.
