TTAB Center

What is TTAB Center

TTAB Center is a one-stop resource to file a secure notice of opposition, that you can track using the new filing docket feature, and access a TTAB record for an application, an extension of time to oppose or an ongoing or terminated TTAB proceeding without navigating to different websites on a new browser.

Pre-filing requirements

Although you may access the TTAB Center homepage without a MyUSPTO account, in order to file a notice of opposition or access your docket, you must have an active MyUSPTO account. Additionally, TTAB Center requires two-step authentication. If you have an existing MyUSPTO account, you will only need to set up two-step authentication.

Secure log-in and other benefits of using a MyUSPTO account

Creating a new MyUSPTO account, or using an existing MyUSPTO account, ensures your submissions and docket are only accessible by you or your authorized support staff through two-factor authentication.

Using your MyUSPTO account also allows you to populate the contact information for the notice of opposition using the contact information residing in your myuspto.gov account.

Use existing roles and info in Trademarks ID.me and Sponsorship tool

Using your MyUSPTO email account, TTAB Center will also access your existing roles and information in Trademarks ID.me and Sponsorship tool, if available. This will populate the appropriate screens for your contact information and signature based on the identity of your active role in ID.me. If you sponsored a legal support staff, they will also be able to populate your information as the contact information for the notice of opposition.

Real-time tracking

TTAB Center indicates what portion of the notice of opposition filing form has been completed and what portion remains for completion, in real time, as you progress in completing the filing form. TTAB Center will indicate that you completed a section of the filing form by displaying a check mark on a green background next to the navigation panel (that appears on each page).

Access to your available extensions of time to oppose

TTAB Center allows users who are tagged through their email addresses on extensions of time to oppose, to access those extensions of time to oppose to use for the timely filing of the notice of opposition.

New docket feature

TTAB Center allows you to see in one location (i) your draft filing forms for oppositions yet to be filed; and (ii) expired filing forms for oppositions that you did not complete.

The docket will also allow you to see other important attributes of your notice of opposition. Such as the email addresses for the users that it has been shared with, real-time tracking of the status of the submission to determine if it is currently locked by another user or when it was last updated by another user.

Improved saving and sharing

TTAB Center allows you to share a draft notice of opposition filing form with other users with a MyUSPTO account. After the creator has begun work on the draft, the creator can send the draft to another user. Via the TTAB docket, the other user can then complete and save any work on the draft, and send it back to the creator or another user for review or filing with the TTAB.
