The Holy See is going to have a few new acquaintances in The New Pope. Sharon Stone and Marilyn Manson will appear in the continuation of HBO’s The Young Pope, with Variety posting first looks of them both. Stone is looking very “Christian Republican congressman’s wife” as she stands over John Malkovich in his own popelike threads, and in case you thought Manson might just be there as an actor in non–shock rocker makeup, you were wrong! He appears to be going full black lip for the occasion. Jude Law will return for New Pope as Pius XIII, but you can call him Lenny if you’re Diane Keaton, and just as importantly, Silvio Orlando will reprise his role as the sneaky Cardinal Voiello. There’s no air date yet for New Pope, but hopefully we will get more shots of papal Speedos before its debut.
