Amber Rose slams Left’s ‘lies’: ‘Realize the truth. American families were better when Donald Trump was president’

Celebrity model and rapper Amber Rose touted a hopeful outlook when thinking about former President Donald Trump returning to the White House, calling on voters to “cut through the lies” of the Left.

Rose spoke on the first night of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, admitting that she was once against Trump.

“I’m here tonight to tell you, no matter your political background, that the best chance we have to give our babies a better life is to elect Donald Trump president of the United States,” Rose said to a cheering crowd.

“I believed the left-wing propaganda that Donald Trump was a racist. My father said, ‘No, he‘s not, Amber. What are you talking about?’ When I insisted, he said, ‘Prove it.’ To prove my father wrong, I did my research and looked into all things Donald Trump,” she continued. “My message to you tonight comes from a humble place. The Left told me to hate Trump and the people who support him. When you cut through the lies, you realize the truth. American families were better when Donald Trump was president.”

Rose also shared about the time she met Trump and former first lady Melania Trump.

“He was kind and generous and funny as hell,” she said of Donald Trump. “Very funny. The first lady was gracious and smart with a smile that would brighten up any room.”

The model, whose full name is Amber Rose Levonchuck, announced her support for the former president in a social media post, sharing photos of her with Donald and Melania Trump.

On Monday night, she reiterated her support before the RNC crowd, drawing smiles from Donald Trump as he watched.

“You know our country is in trouble,” she said. “When you go to the store and buy for your family, you are shocked. When you fill up your gas tank, you are pissed. I know I am. And when you turn on the news, you are just exhausted. Inflation is out of control. And you know in your heart it was not like this under Donald Trump. We were safer, wealthier, and stronger. A vote for Donald Trump is a vote to put money back in our pockets and good food on our kids’ plates. Or, as Trump would say, it‘s a vote to make America great again.”

In response to Rose’s comments, the Biden campaign told the Washington Examiner in a statement that “Amber Rose is right about one thing: research is important.” However, Biden-Harris 2024 senior spokesperson Sarafina Chitika contended Rose’s arguments did not apply to all Americans.

“Rose said American families were better off when Trump was president – and if she’s talking about his billionaire donors, she’s right,” Chitika said. “But for Black communities, it’s the opposite story: Black unemployment, Black uninsured rates, and crime rates skyrocketed under Trump’s leadership, because the truth is simple – Donald Trump doesn’t care about us, our lives, or our livelihoods. A vote for Donald Trump is a vote to line the pockets of millionaires like Rose at the expense of actual Black communities, and those are the facts.”
