An exciting new romantic drama with a sci-fi twist is coming to Netflix in July 2024, Wonderland. With a story eerily similar to an episode of Black Mirror, we suspect Wonderland will be popular with subscribers. Here’s everything we know so far.
Wonderland is an upcoming South Korean internationally licensed Netflix Original romantic sci-fi movie written and directed by Kim Tae Yong (Where Mermaids Go).
When is Wonderland coming to Netflix?
With the exception of South Korea, Netflix has confirmed that Wonderland is coming to Netflix globally on July 26th, 2024.
What is the plot of Wonderland?
Thanks to Wonderland, a simulated world, loved ones can reconnect with those no longer able to communicate in the real world. The overseers of Wonderland are Harry and Hyun Soo, who, with painstaking detail, control and shape the experiences of those visiting. Some of those visitors include a young married couple, Heong In and her comatose husband Tae Ju, and a man in his 40s desperate to reconnect with his recently dearly departed wife. Wonderland is a sanctuary for lost souls, a bittersweet experience allowing those to move on with their lives.
Who are the cast members of Wonderland?
Five confirmed lead actors for the movie are Tang Wei, Bae Suzy, Choi Woo Shik, Park Bo Gum, and Jung Yu Mi.
Chinese actress Tang Wei has yet to star in a Netflix Original and is most well known for her leading roles in movies such as The Whistleblower, Finding Mr. Right, and Only You.

K-pop artist Bae Suzy plays Jeong In. The actress was last seen on Netflix in the popular rom-com Doona!. She also starred in other K-dramas on Netflix such as Start-Up and Vagabond.

Choi Woo Shik plays the role of Kim Hyun Soo. The popular Korean actor recently starred in A Killer Paradox on Netflix. He has also starred in Our Beloved Summer. The actor is mostly known for his roles in movies such as the Academy Award-winning Parasite and the beloved horror Train to Busan.

Park Go Bum plays the role of Park Tae Ju. Four years ago, he was last seen on Netflix in Record of Youth and is due to star in the upcoming K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines.

Jung Yu Mi plays the role of Seo Hae Ri. The actress was last seen on Netflix in The School Nurse Files. Like her fellow co-star Choi Woo Shik, she also starred in Train to Busan.

According to reports, Wonderland was filmed years ago between April 10th, 2020, and May 14th, 2021.
