Descriptions

Hello, I'm Madamebiblio. In case you didn't know, descriptions begin with a lowercase letter except when uppercase would normally be required or expected. Essentially, you should pretend that the description is appearing in the middle of a normal sentence, and then follow normal language rules. Most terms would not be capitalized if they appeared in the middle of a sentence. However terms such as proper nouns (e.g. the names of specific people, specific places, and specific titles) should be capitalized. Hello! Is there a pattern of item descriptions in languages other than German where I am making this error? I do add German descriptions for films/tv items quite often, but German specifically does have special capitalization rules, including the rule that all nouns are capitalized. Tks! Incorrect use of subclass of (P279)

Hello –

This statement on "neighborhood" was incorrect. Errors with basic membership properties create false inferences. Before using this property, check the item descriptions, and make sure your statement is true in all cases. (In this case, "neighborhood" is an instance of (P31) designation, but neighborhoods do not constitute a subclass of (P279) designations.) Often, another property can accurately express the relationship you had in mind; in this case, instance of (P31) works better. You can search through available properties here. Thanks!
