Motivation

I am working on a research project on SCC interveners (https://www.sshrc-crsh.gc.ca/results-resultats/recipients-recipiendaires/2023/idg-eng.aspx) and I would like to make this work more readily available. Other sources of SCC decisions (https://supremecourtdatabase.com/) do not include the names of interveners, despite being named and a part of SCC decisions and decision-making. Providing intervener as a property of SCC cases would allow for queries and visualizations of relationships between cases and which 3rd parties are able to intervene. Most interveners are organizations but occasionally an individual can act as an intervener, and the topic of who intervenes and why (and to what ends) is of interest to many involved, as well as legal scholars and those in the political sciences.
