D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WLOX) - A pop-up children’s retail event is underway this week and shoppers are out looking for the bargain.

The D’Iberville Civic Center was the host of a week-long event allowing mothers to buy and sell gently used items.

In the store hunting for the deals were Chelsey Nobles and her mother Debra Seal.

“I have six grandbabies and one on the way. Lots of savings. Why pay full price when you can get it half-priced or lower? You can save money and you have lots to choose from, lots to choose from,” Seal said.

Inside the center, shoppers came across clothes, shoes, toys, books, and rockers.

“With this being my third child, we have three kids, so honestly there are sizes for everyone here. We are just going to spend the day shopping. My mom started me with thrifting. It’s fun for us to see what we can find for good deals,” Nobles said.

Katie Fulton, Event Organizer of Twice as Nice in D’Iberville brings the consignment event to the Coast twice a year: Once in the fall and once in the winter.

Another shopper out and about exploring the center was Jordan Boyd with her 18-month-old Lillie Boyd.

“I’m staying home with her right now and so this is a great opportunity for me to come and get some more affordable baby clothes especially coming upon the holidays and all the holidays coming up, Thanksgiving, Christmas, all the different things.”

Fulton said the event will conclude Sunday at 5 p.m. with discounted merchandise on select items.

The next pop-up resale event will begin on March 12, Fulton said.
