OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Clouds will be slow to clear for the rest of the day with some sunshine breaking through in the afternoon.

Still, with winds gusting up to 30 miles per hour and the clouds around, along with a high in the low to mid 40s, it will feel colder than our past few days.

Saturday gives us a mostly cloudy and cool day as we struggle into the low to mid 40s for highs.

There will be a slight chance for a shower in the evening, especially south of the metro.

The better chance for rain arrives late Saturday night into Sunday morning with rounds of rain likely throughout our Sunday.

Rumbles of thunder will be possible as well though severe weather stays to our south in Kansas.

Winds will be blustery with gusts as high as 45 miles per hour possible.

Showers will linger into our Monday with highs in the low 50s.

This will lead to some very beneficial rainfall totals with most of us between half an inch and an inch by the time the system departs.

However, as we get late in the afternoon, colder air will push in and we will see temps start to drop.

This will change us over to snow during the evening hours.

Many areas will end up under an inch for totals but a little more could fall near Highway 81.

The Tuesday morning commute could get slick as a result; this is why Tuesday is a 6 First Alert Weather Day.

Tuesday dries us out but it will stay cool with highs only in the upper 30s.

We warm up for the rest of the week with the only precipitation chance coming Friday with a chance for some thundershowers.
