Jaret’s 6 First Alert Forecast: Calm Sunday, blustery start to the work week
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Sunday will start off chilly once again but warming will be steady through the day.
Our highs will peak near 60 degrees with a lot of sunshine overhead.
Winds will stay light today but they will pick up quite a bit to start the work week.
Gusts on Monday could reach 45 miles per hour out of the south and Tuesday will give us 30 miles per hour gusts out of the northwest.
Temperatures do warm on Monday as we get into the mid 70s.
Cloud cover will increase through the day, though, and some spotty thunderstorms will become possible after 6 PM.
These will likely not be severe with some downpours and lightning being the main threats.
Tuesday and Wednesday will give us a partly cloudy sky with highs in the mid to upper 60s.
The wind will pick up again Thursday into Friday ahead of our next storm system.
This will bring back the potential for thunderstorms Thursday night into Friday.
Severe weather does look possible with these, especially on Friday.
Some spotty rain may try to hold on into next weekend as well.
