OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The Omaha Public Power District’s planned transmission line work on a portion of the West Dodge Expressway is being postponed due to Tuesday’s severe weather.

In order for OPPD to safely run wires across, the expressway will experience lane closures between 120th and 132nd. They are scheduled to be in place between May 28 and June 1 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly. It was originally scheduled to begin Wednesday night and run through Monday.

OPPD is working with NDOT officials to coordinate the restrictions. At least one lane will remain open in each direction while this work is completed.
