OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The first three teams -- all members of the Atlantic Coast Conference -- have punched their tickets to the Greatest Show on Dirt.

The Florida State Seminoles took down UConn 10-8 in 12 innings to advance to Omaha in the Tallahassee Super Regional. It’s the Seminoles’ 24th trip overall and the first since 2019.

Virginia will make an appearance for the second year in a row after downing Kansas State 10-4 in Charlottesville. This will mark the Cavaliers’ seventh trip to the CWS since 2009.

The third team booking flights Saturday -- the Tar Heels of North Carolina. UNC defeated West Virginia 2-1 in the Chapel Hill Super Regional.

Remaining Super Regional matchups yet to be decided include (all game times Central):

  • Knoxville (series tied 1-1 between Tennessee and Evansville -- Game 3 set for 5 p.m. Sunday on ESPNU)
  • Lexington (Kentucky leads Oregon State 1-0 -- Game 2 set for 8 p.m. Sunday on ESPNU)
  • Athens (NC State leads Georgia 1-0 -- Game 2 set for 11 a.m. on ESPN2)
  • Clemson (Florida leads Clemson 1-0 -- Game 2 set for 1:30 p.m. on ESPN)
  • Bryan-College Station (Texas A&M leads Oregon 1-0 -- Game 2 set for 6:30 p.m. on ESPN2)
