OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - After three teams punched their tickets to Omaha on Saturday — all out of the ACC — four SEC teams clinched trips to the Men’s College World Series on Sunday.

In a 13-inning thriller, Florida edged sixth-ranked Clemson 11-10 on a walk-off two RBI double off the bat of Michael Robertson. The Gators return to the MCWS for the second year in a row after finishing as runners-up in 2023, losing to LSU in game three of the CWS finals series.

Top-ranked Tennessee is also headed back to Omaha for the second straight year following a 12-1 win over Evansville in game three of the Knoxville Super Regional. The Volunteers launched over home runs in the win, two of which came from Westside High School product Dalton Bargo.

Third-ranked Texas A&M pulled off a late comeback over Oregon to get back to the Greatest Show on Dirt. Down four runs going into the top of the seventh, the Aggies put up a nine-run frame, in part thanks to a grand slam from sophomore Kaeden Kent, to go up by five. Texas A&M went on to win, 15-9.

For the first time ever, Kentucky is headed to the College World Series. The second-ranked Wildcats downed fifth-ranked Oregon State in game two of the Lexington Super Regional to make history.

Yesterday, North Carolina defeated West Virginia 2-1 in the Chapel Hill Super Regional to advance to the program’s 12th College World Series. The fourth-ranked Tar Heels are led by projected top-20 MLB Draft pick Vance Honeycutt.

12th-ranked Virginia is back in Omaha for the second consecutive year, beating Kansas State 10-4 in game two of the Charlottesville Super Regional on Saturday. Cavaliers head coach Brian O’Connor-- a Council Bluffs, Iowa native and former Bluejay pitcher-- is leading UVA to their seventh CWS appearance since 2009.

Florida State was the first team to secure their tickets to the Greatest Show on Dirt. The eighth-ranked Seminoles took down UConn 10-8 in 12 innings on Saturday to advance to Omaha. This is FSU’s 24th trip to the CWS and first since 2019.

10th-ranked NC State and seventh-ranked Georgia will battle for the final spot in the CWS on Monday at 6 p.m. CT in a winner-goes-to-Omaha game three in the Athens Super Regional.

An up-to-date bracket can be found on the NCAA’s website.
