OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Peyton Manning, a Tennessee Volunteers legend who later led two teams to a Super Bowl championship, made an appearance in Omaha on Friday to cheer on his alma mater at the College World Series.

The Vols played this year’s first CWS prime-time game against Florida State, earning a hard-fought 12-11 walkoff win.

Manning has connected himself to Omaha both on and off the field. His famous “Omaha!” play call went viral — so much so that he eventually incorporated the city into the name of his production company, calling it Omaha Productions.
