First 100 degree day of the year in Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - As of 4PM Omaha has reached 100 degrees! Monday and Tuesday are 6 First Alert Weather Days due to the intense heat.
Many locations as of have warmed near 100 or above especially W of the Metro. Several spots have close to records with a record tying high of 103 in Lincoln... Omaha managed to warm a bit more and reach an official high of 101.
This is ahead of last year’s pace when we reach 100 for the first time on July 28th, 2023 with a high of 102.
