OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The reigning Pro Volleyball Federation champions say goodbye to three key contributors for the 2025 season: outside hitter Bethania de la Cruz, opposite hitter Jess Schaben-Lansman, and middle blocker Hristina Vuchkova.

Vuchkova led the PVF in total blocks with 76 in the league’s inaugural season. The Bulgarian also owns a franchise record six blocks in two separate matches. Vuchkova will return to Europe to play for the 2025 season.

De la Cruz leaves Omaha as the PVF Server of the Year, leading the league with 35 total aces. This summer, De la Cruz will return to the court as a part of the Dominican Republic’s Olympic team in Paris.

As for Schaben-Lansman, she is choosing to close the volleyball-playing chapter of her life. The Iowa native is officially retiring after one season playing professionally. Schaben-Lansman will remain close to Omaha, as she assumes the role of head volleyball coach at Blair High School this Fall.

Plenty more changes to the Supernovas roster are bound to occur this offseason with the PVF Free Agency Period set to begin on June 30th. To stay tuned with all the newest signings, check out the Supernovas Free Agency Tracker page.
