OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The reigning Pro Volleyball Federation champions are rebuilding their roster in hopes of running it back in 2025. On the first day of the PVF Free Agency Period, the Supernovas signed nine athletes including some familiar faces and some new faces.

Omaha’s captain Brooke Nuneviller will return for the 2025 season. The outside hitter helped lead the Supernovas to the first PVF Championship, making the PVF All-League First Team. The Oregon product is also the Supernovas’ all-time leader in kills, kills per set, attacks, and digs.

Setter Natalia Valentin-Anderson is returning for her second season with the Supernovas. In her first season, Valentin-Anderson split playing time with Sydney Hilley.

The Supernovas’ No. 24 overall U.S. Colleger Player Draft pick Sophie Davis is coming back in 2025. The middle blocker played in six matches as a rookie.

As for the new players, Omaha added 2024 PVF Rising Star of the Year winner Reagan Cooper. The outside hitter comes to Omaha from Columbus where she led the Fury in both kills (339) and kills per set (4.13). A fun fact about Cooper is that her father, Reggie, was an All-Big Eight linebacker for Nebraska.

Omaha also signed a trio of former Huskers. Two-time Nebraksa volleyball national champion Briana Holman returns to Nebraska after playing professional volleyball overseas for the last few years. Holman was a part of the 1015 and 2017 Huskers national title teams.

Former Husker and Texas volleyball national champion Kayla Caffey will join the Supernovas in 2025. Caffey comes to Omaha from the Grand Rapids Rise, having played against the Supernovas in the PVF Championship. The middle blocker recorded 81 kills on a .293 clip in 19 matches for Grand Rapids.

Middle blocker Kaitlyn Hord is returning to the Cornhusker State after playing last season in Columbus. Hord tallied 111 kills and 42 blocks in 22 matches with the Rise last season.

Another former Grand Rapids Rise player is coming to Omaha: libero Camila Gomez. The Colombian National Team member posted 187 digs and 38 assists in 71 total seest with Grand Rapids.

Finally, former Jayhawk Kelsie Payne will be spending the 2025 season in Omaha. This will be the first time the opposite hitter plays volleyball professionally in the United States, having spent the past six seasons playing in Europe, Asia, and South America.
