OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The rest of Wednesday evening will be dry and pleasant for most... A round of storms is on the way in from Central Nebraska tonight and could make its way into the W edge of the viewing area by 9PM. This comes with a severe weather risk, mainly W of the Metro and a Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued ahead of the line for the NW corner of the viewing are. This runs until midnight.

Storm chances will move into the Metro after 1AM... more than likely between 2-3AM. A this point the severe weather threat is much lower as the line loses its structure.

We’ll see a break in activity after that passes with spotty storms and showers popping back up after 6AM Thursday. Plan for on and off showers and storms through the first half of the 4th of July. After noon chances taper off and we should be dry by 4PM.

The fireworks forecast will be clear and cool after only reaching highs in the mid to upper 70s, bring a light jacket!

We can’t rule out a stray shower Friday PM but most of the day will be dry. A better storm chance arrives late Saturday afternoon and will continue into the nighttime hours.
