Iowa Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau teams up with Uber to curb drunk driving

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - In an effort to curb drunk driving, the Iowa Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau has partnered with ridesharing company Uber to offer a $10 voucher to anyone who needs a ride home.
Numerous traffic deaths have occurred on the 4th of July on Iowa roads over the years. Troopers will look for distracted driving, speeding, and driving under the influence.
The voucher is valid from July 3rd-July 7th.
If your Fourth of July plans include alcohol, plan for a sober driver.
