Emily’s 6 First Alert Forecast - Intense heat arrives this weekend
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Friday night will be warm and a bit muggy, but otherwise fairly comfortable compared to the next several days.
Our string of 6 First Alert Weather Days begins on Saturday. Highs will be well into the 90s!
The heat combined with humidity will make it feel more like 100-115F. Take breaks indoors and in the shade and stay hydrated. Heat alerts are in effect Saturday through Monday.
Saturday kicks off with the chance for a few spotty showers early in the day, these clear quickly and we’ll warm fast. Plan for a high of 97 in Omaha.
The heat index will be over 100 in the afternoon and even more intense Sunday and Monday.
We’ll begin to cool down Tuesday of next week as a cold from moves through late Monday night. This will spark spotty storm chances and keep highs in the 80s.
