OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The Durham Museum is holding the Mutual of Omaha “Wild Kingdom Exhibit” through Oct. 6.

The show was originally aired in 1963, and has recently been picked back up by Peter Gros and Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant.

The exhibit showcases the past, present, and future of the show, and they brought in the co-hosts for a meet and greet on Saturday.

Gros shared with 6 News his thoughts on the exhibit.

“To be able to transition, to be able to film wildlife in the wild with Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom has been just incredible,” Gros said. “And now to share the knowledge with researchers that we film with... and hopefully influence the audience and future generation about wildlife conservation. It couldn’t be better.”

Wild Kingdom airs on NBC every Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. Doctor Rae and Gros also do a Wildlife podcast in addition to the show, partnering with Mutual of Omaha.
