Rusty’s First Alert Forecast - More summer heat heading into the weekend
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - There is a little fog out there as we start another day in the 60s. We’ll warm farther into the 80s today though with a high of 88 in my forecast. Dew points will be still be in the muggy range as well.
Don’t be surprised by a few spotty showers popping up once temperatures warm into the lower 80s around the lunch hour, much like yesterday. Those could meander around during the afternoon, especially on the Iowa side.
We’ll likely do the same this all over again Wednesday afternoon as we climb to near 90 for the high. Lower 90s are expected through at least Saturday.
If there is any surge in the warmth that could cause some dangerous heat, Sunday may be when that uptick occurs. Highs are forecast to jump into the mid 90s then followed by what could be an uptick in humidity for next week too.
Overall it looks like a very dry stretch over the next week to 10 days with only very spotty showers and storms possible.
