Rusty’s First Alert Forecast - More summer heat & humidity through the weekend
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Friday morning is starting just a little bit warmer in the 70s for many of us. That warm start will again turn into an afternoon with highs in the 90s. Heat index values will run into the upper 90s too.
We’ll keep rough the same conditions right through the weekend too. Morning lows in the 70s, afternoon highs in the lower 90s with manageable humidity.
Notice how Sunday is no longer a 6 First Alert Weather Day. More clouds are expected and that may help keep us cooler. Throw in a storm chance by Sunday evening and that should help stave off the worst of the heat until Monday now. There is a small risk of a few spotty strong storms Sunday evening too. There is the risk of a little wind and hail from a couple.
Monday is now the 6 First Alert Weather Day for the start of the worst of the heat. Every afternoon next week likely tops out around 95 degrees or higher. That will push the heat index values well over 100 thanks to the uptick in humidity too. Stay up to date on the latest with heat here.
