OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Our stretch of 90+ degree days is set to continue for a while longer... we are on 6 First Alert through Wednesday as we get through the most intense heat and humidity.

Highs climb well into the 90s with very little heat relief a few spotty storms are possible each evening or night from Monday through Wednesday but these will be isolated and most will just feel the impacts of the increased humidity. Storms chances keep mainly N of the metro for Monday night and will be mainly after 10PM.

As storms move in from SD and N Central Nebraska they will organize into a bowing line and pose a high wind risk. Gusts of over 65mph will be possible and a Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the N counties of our viewing area until 2AM.

These clear and we rapidly warm Tuesday aiming for a high of 96. After 4PM a spotty storm or two cannot be ruled out but the chance is no guarantee there is a minimal risk for severe weather with any of these storms, mainly for wind and hail.

Chances are similar Wednesday, we’ll be even warmer with a high of 98. The humidity will keep the heat index at very uncomfortable and even dangerous levels... we’ll feel as hot as 110 before some relief arrives Thursday...
