Rusty’s First Alert Forecast - Less heat & humidity as we clean up
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - As we wake up and continue to assess the damage around the area, we should have a day with less heat and humidity to help get things done. Highs will climb to near 90 degrees but with less humidity than the last few days. The dew points should still hang out in the muggy range on the muggy meter.
North winds could gust to near 20 mph at times today but that shouldn’t hamper cleanup efforts around the metro and surrounding area. Clear skies and calm winds will allow temps to drop into the mid 60s by early Friday morning helping out with the lack of A/C for many. Highs will climb a little more into the weekend with lower 90s expected.
Thankfully as we go into the weekend and early next week the dew points won’t surge too high on the muggy meter. That will keep the heat index somewhat close to the air temperature into early next week. That’s good news because highs will likely climb into the upper 90s by Sunday and Monday
