Rusty’s First Alert Forecast - Heating up heading into the weekend
Intense heat while we clean up
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Some of the coolest air we’ll have over the next few days is out there this morning. Temps in the 60s before 8am will allow for some relief for those without air conditioning. We’ll quickly heat up into the 80 by the lunch hour though and make it into the lower 90s around the metro this afternoon.
Thankfully dew points won’t be incredibly high on the muggy meter helping to keep the heat index within a few degrees of the air temp.
This is just the start of the heat that we’ll deal with through the weekend as highs climb into the mid and upper 90s.
Again, I don’t expect it to be any more humid than a typical summer day so the heat index thankfully won’t stray too far from the air temp during this stretch of heat.
Highs in the upper 90s are likely into Monday before cooler 80s return to the forecast for the rest next week!
