Rusty’s First Alert Forecast - One more day of intense heat before we get some relief
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - It’s warm and a bit humid out the door as we start what will be the final day of this round of intense heat. Temperatures in the 70s this morning will make a run at 100 degrees this afternoon.
Thankfully it again won’t be incredibly humid with dew points in the muggy range most of the day. That will keep the heat index values in the lower 100s.
A cold front is set to move through later this evening helping to drag in some much cooler air for us to enjoy the rest of the week! Hold out a bit longer because the relief is coming.
Behind the front we’ll start with clouds on Tuesday morning. Those clouds will break apart for the afternoon allowing us to hit the lower 80s with some sunshine. Overall it will feel so much better the rest of the week!
While those clouds likely won’t give us rain, there is the chance of some midday showers & storms by late morning Wednesday. A few more chances are in the area Thursday, Friday and into the weekend but no day is a complete washout.
