Iowa ranked No. 25 in AP Preseason poll, Nebraska picks up votes

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The Associated Press released its college football preseason Top 25 with the Hawkeyes rounding out the rankings at No. 25. Nebraska lands outside of the rankings, however, the Huskers did receive 16 votes.

Six Big Ten teams are featured in the Top 25, including the second-ranked Buckeyes who also picked up 15 first-place votes. Iowa heads to Columbus, Ohio to take on Ohio State on Saturday, October 5th. The Huskers trek to Columbus three weeks later to face OSU on Saturday, October 26th.

Other than OSU and Iowa, Nebraska is also set to face preseason No. 23 USC on Saturday, November 16th in Los Angeles.

The other Big Ten schools in the top 25 are No. 3 Oregon, No. 8 Penn State, and No. 9 Michigan. Washington and Wisconsin also received votes.
