Rusty’s First Alert Forecast - Fog & clouds to fight through today, storms likely tonight
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - It’s going to be another gray start to the day with areas of dense fog to fight through first. Then low and mid level clouds will be tough to shake once again heading through the afternoon. All that will give us another day with highs in the 70s. It will be muggy with the cooler day too. Several schools are heading back to school today too so watch for busses in the thicker fog.
We should be able to sneak some sun through the clouds during the afternoon taking our highs into the upper 70s. A little sunshine, a little early and we likely hit 80 in some spots.
Overnight tonight, likely after 1-2am, there will be another round of storms trying to develop. Those would move in from the west and south and could easily linger into the early part of the Wednesday morning commute. There is the very small risk of some wind and hail with those but downpours will likely be the biggest threat.
This is just the start of the 6 First Alert Weather Day that we have issued for Wednesday. After this morning round of storms exits, more are possible after 7pm and those could be stronger with wind and hail potential. Get the latest on the 6 First Alert Weather Day here.
