OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A cool morning gave way to a warm Saturday afternoon with temperatures warming into the mid-80s. A few spotty showers passed by just to the southwest of the metro, but most around Omaha stayed dry. The clouds and any showers are fading away this evening, with dry and warm weather sticking around. Temperatures will drop back into the 70s after sunset, with clearing skies overnight.

Sunday will start off in the low to mid-60s, very similar to what we saw today. It should be a really nice morning to get outside. However, a few spotty showers or storms are possible on by the midday hours. Thunderstorms moving through South Dakota will move into northeastern Nebraska during the morning hours, and push into eastern Nebraska by late morning. Most of this rain will likely stay just west and southwest of the Omaha metro, bringing rain to areas around Columbus, Norfolk, Lincoln, and Beatrice. However, a shower or two could work its way into town so watch out for a brief shower or two during the late morning and early afternoon. Any rain should move out by mid-afternoon.

The showers and associated clouds will likely keep temperatures a bit cooler than the past couple of days. Highs over central Nebraska will likely only reach the upper 70s. This means areas around Columbus and Norfolk could stay in the 70s all day. The Omaha metro likely reaches the low 80s, but if the clouds move in a little faster or the rain spreads a little farther east, it could be a touch cooler.
