OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Another comfortable morning across the metro with temperatures falling into the low 60s thanks to mostly clear skies and light winds. However, a cluster of thunderstorms over central Nebraska will send increasing clouds our way throughout the morning hours. Those thunderstorms will drop to the south and east throughout the morning, bringing rain toward Norfolk and Columbus by mid-morning. That rain will likely drop toward Lincoln and Beatrice by late morning and early afternoon.

This bulk of this rain and thunderstorm activity will stay to the west and southwest of the Omaha metro, however a few spotty showers will be possible through early afternoon. The heaviest downpours likely stay to the west of Wahoo and Lincoln. With the clouds and a few spotty showers, temperatures today will likely be a little cooler than the past couple of days, with highs in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees for most of the area. Temperatures will then drop back into the mid-70s after sunset this evening.
