Emily’s 6 First Alert Forecast - Showers return Friday, summer heat this weekend
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The sunshine has made a return for our Thursday afternoon and evening, enjoy the pleasant conditions while they are here! Overnight, clouds will build back in ahead of returning rain chances Friday.
Showers move in mainly after 8AM and are fairly spotty. Most will see very little rain, if any, through the first half of the day. The best chances for showers are through noon but a stray shower is possible as late as 4PM. We’ll gradually see more sun breaks through the afternoon as we warm to highs between the upper 70s to mid 80s.
The clouds return again by Saturday morning with a few spotty t-showers to start the day. Those clear by mid morning and we will warm fast to a high of 90. Sunday is dry and hot with a high of 96 and also quite muggy.
The hot and humid weather lasts into the start of the work week and we will feel more like the 100s Sunday and Monday.
Heat relief comes with increasing rain chances Thursday with low 80s expected by Labor Day weekend.
