LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) -Middle blocker Andi Jackson showed why she was Nebraska volleyball’s “Lifter of the Year” as the sophomore hammered 15 kills on a .583 hitting percentage and added seven blocks in the Huskers’ intrasquad scrimmage Saturday night. The preseason No. 2 Huskers played four sets in front of a sold-out crowd at the Devaney Center. The White team came away with the win 3-1 (25-21, 23-25, 25-21, 25-22).

Skutt Catholic product Lindsay Krause also tallied 15 kills in the scrimmage as she split time between the Red and White teams. Minnesota transfer Taylor Landfair recorded 12 kills, while San Diego transfer Leyla Blackwell and sophomore Harper Murray each notched nine.

2023 Big Ten Setter of the Year Bergen Reilly had 40 assists and ten digs while setting for the White team. On the other side of the net, senior Kennedi Orr posted 37 assists and 13 digs for the Red team.

Olivia Mauch, a freshman out of Bennington, had a match-high 22 digs and senior captain Lexi Rodriguez tallied 15.

Nebraska opens the college volleyball season against No. 9 Kentucky at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky on Tuesday, August 27th at 6 p.m.
