OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Clouds have broken for most sending temperatures near 90 this afternoon in the Metro and S... Some cooler air off to the N behind a stalled front has kept areas N of the Metro in the 80s.

From here the heat and humidity return for all Wednesday with highs climbing into the upper 80s to mid 90s. We’ll feel about 10 degrees warmer with the humidity factored in.

Thursday’s front will bring heat relief but will also spark a storm chance and a risk for severe weather. That’s why we’ve made it a 6 First Alert Weather Day.

The severe risk is a 2/5 for the Metro with a risk for up to 1.5″ hail and 60mph gusts.

Storm chances are isolated after 10AM... but become much more likely as the front sweeps through. That likely moves into the NW corner of the viewing area after 2PM.
