Rusty’s First Alert Forecast - Spotty T-showers with less heat Tuesday
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A few spotty showers and storms have been drifting south to north through the area very early this morning. Overall I think the strongest storms are out of the area but spotty showers and storms are still possible at any point this morning and afternoon.
It will never be a washout today but there will be quite a few clouds around most of the day. Even with that we should be able to warm to near 90 degrees this afternoon.
It will still be muggy with dew points near 70 on the muggy meter. That will send heat index values into the mid 90s at worst today.
Aside from a spotty early storm Wednesday, most of Wednesday should be dry, sunny and a bit warmer with highs in the lower 90s.
Thursday is still a 6 First Alert Weather Day with the potential for storms as early as 10am thanks to a cold front moving through. Get the latest on how those storms evolve and the severe potential here.
Behind the front we’ll enjoy some less humid and slightly cooler air. It still looks likely that we’ll jump into the upper 80s for a high for that first Husker game of the season though. Thankfully we’ll have a bit of a southwest breeze.
