OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha Police responded to an incident Tuesday night near Metro Community College South Omaha Campus.

Officers received a disturbance call shortly after 8:30 p.m. at the Stephen Center near the campus.

Police say they spoke with the victim who said a gun was pulled on him after refusing to give the suspect a cigarette.

Omaha Police said officers were looking for a suspect who was described as a Hispanic male wearing a camo “boonie hat” with a blue shirt, black pants, and a white backpack.

MCC sent out a “police emergency” alert at about 9 p.m. telling students to seek safe shelter. Another message was sent at 9:40 p.m. that said the area was considered safe.
